The latest addition to the historic district of Telok Ayer is a bistronomy concept, named after the herb known for its fresh and clean lemony flavour. Set in a blithe atmosphere, the restaurant serves up exquisitely crafted dishes that reflect a passionate commitment to the freshest and highest quality ingredients possible.
Prior to Sorrel, Alex spent time as a Commis Chef at Tippling Club in 2008, later rose to hold Head Chef position at Open Door Policy. Alex also has experience in participating in a range of regional and international culinary showcases and programme over the years that shaped him into the chef he is today. Thus, coming on board as Executive Chef at Sorrel was a natural progression for Alex as he took on the challenge of working on a new concept; this gave him the opportunity to push the boundaries of fine dining, while leading a team of young, driven chefs.
